Coastal Antiques and Art was founded in September 1996 to provide coverage of the dynamic artist communities, museums and art organizations of Coastal Georgia and South Carolina, as well as to provide information for regional collectors of fine art and antiques.

The monthly tabloid is distributed free in selected antique shops, galleries and retail locations. Nearly half of its 19,000 circulation is direct-mailed to a demographically selected audience ranging from Hilton Head Island, S.C., to South Georgia. Its typical reader is an avid art collector who has a history of supporting local visual artists and art organizations.

With each issue, Coastal Antiques and Art previews art and museum exhibits, gallery openings, and profiles prominent and up and coming regional artists. Regular features keep collectors updated on antiques markets and collectibles.
