Nearly a quarter
million Hispanics are now living in northeast Florida from many
diverse backgrounds and countries, and their lives are chronicled
each month in the pages of Eco Latino.
The area's only bilingual publication features complete articles in
Spanish with story summaries in English. Eco Latino is delivered free
through more than 400 outlets in Duval, St. Johns, Flagler and Clay
counties at places where Hispanics work, shop and pray.
Eco Latino provides readers with articles that help them realize that
there is hope and they are surrounded by great
opportunities. If, through Eco Latino, one person pursues his or her
dream again, we can say, "Mission
accomplished!"
The St. Augustine Record and The Florida Times-Union, both owned by
Morris Publishing Group and its parent company Morris Communications,
have partnered with Eco Latino to make the publication possible. The
Record provides office space in its St. Augustine location, and staffs
from both newspapers provide publishing expertise to help get the issues
off the presses.
