KIM BENEDICT
NAMED PUBLISHER IN HILLSDALE
Augusta,
Ga. - Kim Benedict has been named publisher of the Hillsdale
Daily News, the Morris-owned daily newspaper in Hillsdale,
Mich. The appointment, announced today by President Will Morris,
is effective immediately. Benedict succeeds Jeff West, who resigned
to pursue other opportunities.
Benedict had been publisher of
The Arkansas City (Kan.) Traveler since 1989.
Morris Communications sold the Traveler in August 2001.
Prior to her 12-year tenure as
publisher, Benedict was advertising manager of the Hillsdale
Daily News for three years. She began her newspaper career
in advertising sales at another Morris daily, The Morning
Sun, located in Pittsburg, Kan. Benedict has a total of
18 years' experience in the newspaper industry.
