ROMANER NAMED PRESIDENT OF Morris Digital Works™®

Augusta, Ga. - Morris Communications officials today announced that Michael R. Romaner will become president of Morris Digital Works™®, the online services division of the company. The promotion is a result of an expansion in the award-winning division's market strategy to include software sales to external clients. Romaner has been director of the division since its inception in 1995.

Three additional promotions were announced as part of the reorganization program: Christopher D. Caldwell, formerly manager of Internet engineering services, has been named vice president of technology services; Connie C. Ling, formerly manager of sales, has been named vice president of business development; and Stephen D. Yelvington, formerly manager of Web site development, has been named vice president of strategy and content.

"These changes in online services not only recognize deserving employees, but also help to position Morris Digital Works™ as a major player in a very competitive marketplace," said Will Morris, president of Morris Communications.

Morris added: "We're delighted that our technologies are already driving results for Knight Ridder Digital; E.W. Scripps; Baton Rouge's The Advocate and WBRZ-Channel 2; and American Express Publishing's Travel and Leisure magazine."
