PROMOTED TO CEO OF NEW VISITOR PUBLICATIONS
AUGUSTA,
Ga.Raymond P. Dallman has been named to the new position
of chief executive officer of Guest Informant™, a group of visitor
publications recently acquired by Morris Communications. The announcement
was made today by William S. Morris IV, president of the parent
company, and is effective immediately.
In
April 2000, Dallman was named general manager of Best Read Guides,
a group of nine proprietary and 11 franchised visitor books
distributed free to vacationers in key leisure markets of the
United States. In addition, Dallman became general manager of
the Hospitality Industry Association, acquired by Morris in
May 2003. He will maintain those responsibilities in addition
to his oversight of Guest Informant™ and will continue to report
to Morris Vice President Carl N. Cannon.
Dallman
joined Morris Communications in 1991 as director of sales and
marketing for the company's largest newspaper, The Florida Times-Union.
Earlier in his career, he was senior vice president of advertising
and marketing for the former Houston Post and vice president
of advertising for the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel.
