MORRIS NAMES GENERAL MANAGER FOR NEWLY ACQUIRED KANSAS RADIO STATIONS

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Larry E. Riggins has been named general manager of six Kansas radio stations recently acquired by Morris Communications' broadcast subsidiary, MCC Radio LLC. The announcement was made today by William S. Morris IV, president of the parent company, and is effective immediately. The six stations are KSAL-AM, KYEZ-FM and KZBZ-FM, Salina; KABI-AM and KSAJ-FM, Abilene; and KBLS-FM, North Fort Riley. They will be added to MCC Radio, which currently consists of 27 radio stations and two networks. Additional Kansas broadcast properties owned by Morris are WIBW-AM, WIBW-FM, the Kansas Agriculture Network and the Kansas Information Network - all in Topeka.

Riggins brings with him more than 20 years of experience in radio. Most recently, he served as general manager of Eagle Country 99.9 and Classic Country KINA, two radio stations owned by Eagle Communications of Hays, Kan. Prior to that position, Riggins spent 12 years working in sales, sales management and then as general manager for KSAL/KYEZ in Salina.

"Larry has demonstrated that he has the seasoned skills and background necessary to lead these six stations into the future," said Morris. "We welcome Larry's talent and vision into the MCC Radio family."

"No one is better suited than Larry to guide and direct these stations," said MCC Radio Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Osterhout. "I look forward to working with Larry and to what his leadership will bring to the new Kansas communities served by Morris Radio."
